Each vat has its own character: youthful vats yield strong, vivid blues, while older vats create soft, gentle shades. At NONA’s atelier in Nishi-Ogikubo, we dye using the \u003cstrong\u003enatural lye fermentation method\u003c\/strong\u003e, prepared only with natural ingredients such as wood ash lye and sugar.
