Inspired by rugged rocky coastlines, Acadia is a rustic blend of fine Merino wool, baby alpaca and silk noil. The heathered appearance of this DK weight yarn is achieved from a kettle dyeing process that creates the subtle duotones for which The Fibre Co. has become known. The silk and alpaca fibres in Acadia makes its knitted fabrics drape well, and the Merino acts as a good base for medium-weight accessories and garments. Plain stockinette stitch produces an interesting fabric from the knobbly texture provided by the silk noil.
